Graduation Requirements

 Graduation requirements for Ridgeway High School shall be a minimum of 29 units of credit completed during grades nine and above. Four years of high school attendance or its equivalency is required.

3         Mathematics

1 ½    Physical Education/Health

1          Fine Arts

1 ½    Practical Arts

LANGUAGE ARTS

  • All Freshmen must take English I.

  • All Sophomores must take English II.

  • All Juniors must take English III.

  • All Seniors must take English IV, Applied Communication or Dual English.

SOCIAL STUDIES

  • All Freshmen must take American History II.

  • All Sophomores must take World History.

  • All Juniors must take American Government.

​​

MATH

  • All Freshmen must take either Algebra I or Pre-Algebra.

  • Each student must have two additional units of Math.

  • Algebra I is a required course for graduation.

SCIENCE

  • All Freshmen must take Physical Science.

  • All Sophomores must take Biology.

  • All juniors must take Science Investigation, Chemistry or other advanced science course.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION

  • All Freshmen must take P. E. unless medically excused.

  • All Sophomores must take Health.

​​

PRACTICAL ARTS

  • All Freshmen must take Computer Applications.

  • Personal Finance must be taken during Senior year.
